Opportunity:
Working as part of the SHEQ team to improve the quality assurance performance within the Business Unit and its supply chain in line with Morgan Sindall Responsible Business and Protecting People. The post-holder is to directly support the Head of SHEQ to ensure that a consistent approach and the highest standards regarding quality assurance are delivered and maintained.
Our Quality Assurance (QA) specialists are dedicated to enhancing compliance with our Integrated Management System and ensuring the highest standards in the quality of our project deliverables. The QA team offers support and guidance across all sectors, continually adopting the Plan, Do, Check, Act methodology outlined in ISO 9001:2015. The team handles quality assurance, project and third-party audit management. This process begins with understanding our client's requirements, followed by meticulous planning to meet them, delivering a top-tier service, and fostering ongoing improvements in our operations.

Principal Accountabilities:
- Establishing a right-first-time culture across the project team that puts quality at the heart of project delivery.
- Ensuring that the project team implement appropriate quality management arrangements, supported by the deployment of competent resources that establish plans for successful delivery.
- Ensuring that the quality systems and processes are fully aligned to MSI requirements
- Develop and manage a BU and sector specific audit management plan and associated activities, including the management of quality related investigations (including RCA).
- Ensuring that auditing of quality management arrangements provide overall assurance to the senior management team and identify issues for immediate resolution.
- Establishing procedures for the progressive collation of learning amongst the project team and monitoring the implementation of subsequent continual improvement.
- Assist in the development of the BU strategic approach to quality assurance.
- Production of quality reports to provide visibility of BU performance.
- Support the Client and MSI quality meetings and forums.
- Undertake the annual Management Review process.
- Develop and present quality training to the BU.
- Establishing an effective working relationship with the Clients, BU and MSI leadership team.
- Acting as the point of contact for all BU related quality assurance issues.
- Providing leadership and guidance to the Quality Assurance Advisor/s to successfully undertake their duties.
- Implement MSI and Client specific KPI’s.
- Develop BU specific KPIs as required.
- Promote equality in the workplace and adopt appropriate behaviour when interacting with colleagues.
- Take necessary care to properly protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of corporate information from unauthorised disclosure, modification or destruction. Never knowingly put MSI’s information or information systems at risk.
To be successful in this role, you will:
Essential:
- Proven experience of delivering in a similar role and evidence of successful management in a complex organisation with multiple interfaces.
- IRCA/CQI Approved Lead Auditors Certificate ISO9001.
- In depth knowledge of investigation tools and techniques (RCA).
- Experience in infrastructure or construction environments advantageous.
Desirable:
- CQI Practitioner Certificate in Quality Management or willingness to obtain
- CQI Approved Quality Course.

Our Water team designs, builds, and maintains vital UK water infrastructure, ensuring secure water supply and wastewater services. Currently, we are involved in the Welsh Water AMP7 and AMP8 frameworks and have secured projects with Wessex Water for the next five years.
